Inspections, Report Writing and Expert Witnessing by correspondence Presenter: Joost Hogewoning

Objectives:
The aim of this CPD event is to equip designers with a wider knowledge of doing inspections, writing up professional reports and how to prepare and present expert witnessing in court.

Content

1. The four types of reports: feasibility, rendability, buyers and sellers. Checklist for inspections.
2. Layout of reports: introduction, body of report, litigation report, quantum.
3. Who is an expert? CV’s, court process and procedures, general guidelines.
4. Case studies and marketing.

Format:

This CPD is presented in a correspondence format. The participant will receive the presentation and accompanying notes in a PDF format by e-mail on the starting date. The course must be completed within 14 days. This will enable the participants to work at their own pace, and to move between slides and notes to and for better understanding. No need to be at a computer at any specific time, and will use less than 50Mb data. Questions may be submitted by e-mail. A short questionnaire has to be completed at the end to ascertain that the participant has worked through the material and has understood it. When studied properly, this CPD is the equivalent of a half day event.
